This is the second time we’ve used @rubiomonocoatusa Oil Plus 2C and each time, it has been the perfect choice for wanting to finish out a fabulous wood grain (check out our Art Deco reel for another example!)

We used the Oil Plus 2C in Pure for both of these projects but are anxious to try the color options in the future (there are about 40 to choose from!). For a supplier local to SE MN, you need to check out @versatilewoodwork - you can get a great look at all these options and some expert advice!

Sharing our most recent custom piece…this one feels like part of the family since it was in our shop for over a month😅 Here’s why⤵️

▪️ The old back of the hutch top was removed (it was all mirrored glass!) and pole wrap added for texture
▪️ The doors and side glass were removed, hardware holes filled, and the inside was painted a creamy white
▪️The old panels were removed from the bottom doors and pole wrap texture added
▪️The exterior of the hutch top and the entire buffet was stripped, sanded, and bleached to get rid of the outdated orange finish
▪️Custom stain washes in medium and light browns with a black glaze added to the trim detail
▪️New wood shelves to replace the old glass shelves
▪️Sealed throughout
▪️Updated hardware

Interested in custom work? We take in select custom work on both client owned pieces and from our own inventory. Custom bookings are currently out to August but there are a couple of openings left for 2025!
